If you're like me then you exactly know the feeling after a long Winter once the world seems to wake up again after darkness and cold.

Flowers on the streets start blossoming, the birds start chirping in the morning and there's a lot more light and sunshine. And for me it is such a magical time of the year since I really can't stand the cold and darkness.

Being able to sit in the sun again and enjoying a coffee or an Aperol Spritz while soaking up the warmth of the sun rays. The colors of all the flowers and trees like magnolias and cherry trees. Every Spring I'm in awe about this beauty.

Driving and seeing the daffodils blooming next to the street...those moments are what I've been looking for all Winter long. And finally we're in this season!

I believe Persians welcome Spring celebrating NowRuz and I'd say Easter also represents that nature is returning to life - maybe not in a theological sense but in a cultural one - at least that's how I perceive it.

And wow, food - now it's the season to make all those delicious green dishes with fresh herbs and seasonal produce like wild garlic.

Living in Germany I of course can't wait for strawberry and asparagus season to begin. And today when I drove by at my favorite little farmer's shop, which only opens during strawberry and asparagus season, I saw that they finally had their doors open for the first time again.

Big bonus, they also sell delicious ice cream. And also some kind of strawberry sparkling wine that I wanted to try last year but somehow in the end this didn't happen. So this year I'll get a bottle of this wine for sure to see how it tastes!

Oh, and of course Spring cleaning is now a fun activity as well to say good bye to the heavy Winter time and to welcome a lighter season.
